Port Huron
Beaches

There are two large public beaches in public parks and several smaller public access beaches in the City of Port Huron. In the public parks, there are amenities such as changing rooms/public restrooms, playground equipment and, at Lakeside Beach, a splash pad. While admission to the parks themselves is free of charge, there is a fee to park in the lots located at Lakeside Beach and Lighthouse Beach.

Life is a Beach

  • Lakeside Beach: This park offers more than 1,000 feet of Lake Huron waterfront beach. Amenities include restrooms, volleyball courts, a splash pad, picnic tables, grills, and two pavilions. The recently updated park is perfect for families.

  • Tourism Tip: Visit the beach at sunset and watch the eastern sky reflect the colorful sunset to the west.

  • Lighthouse Beach: Located just north of the St. Clair County Light Station Park, home of the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, this public beach offers amenities such as public restrooms, playground equipment, adult exercise equipment, picnic tables, and grills.

Tourism Tip: Make sure you tour the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse at the adjacent county park. Climb the lighthouse for one of the best aerial views in town!
